The Xeriscape Program offers a systematic approach to conserve water in landscaped areas. The Program encourages seven steps for making a landscape more water-efficient.

5. Efficient Irrigation
6. Use of Mulches
7. Appropriate Maintenance

Xeriscaping can reduce outdoor water consumption by as much as 50 percent without sacrificing the quality and beauty of one's home environment. The Program also offers one-on-one consultations to property owners on creating more water-wise landscapes.
