| In 2004, as part of Fulton County’s commitment to operate
an efficient and effective government, the Fulton County Board
of Commissioners launched the “Fulton County Citizens
University”, a series of interactive courses offered
to Fulton County citizens, instructed by Fulton County Department
Heads and their staff. Participants examine the same kinds
of challenges faced by County staff for a fuller understanding
of the business of local government. Commissioner
William “Bill” Edwards initiated the Fulton County Citizen’s University.
“ Fulton County Citizens University” is
an annual twelve week program that is limited to 25 participants.
In order to graduate, students need to earn a minimum of 200 credits
with students earning 20 credits per class. Tuition will be $40.00
per session, per person to cover the cost of a class shirt, course
materials, graduation ceremony and diplomas.
Applications are now being accepted and the County will begin filling slots
for the class January 2 - March 14, 2008.
The next class is tentatively scheduled for April 3, 2008. |
