Update of 2008-2012 Short Term Work Program

On November 2, 2005, Fulton County adopted its 2025 Comprehensive Plan . As part of a Comprehensive Plan , local governments are required under the Georgia Planning Act to establish a Short Term Work Program (STWP). The STWP is a 5 year work program of major initiatives undertaken by the county to implement the goals and recommendations identified within its comprehensive plan. Updated annually, the STWP must be approved and adopted by the county each year in order to maintain its status as a Qualified Local Government.

The STWP updates the following elements within the comprehensive plan: Economic Development, Housing, Natural and Cultural Resources, Community Facilities, Transportation, and Land Use.

The Department of Environment & Community Development will be holding public meetings to accept comments and discuss the 2008-2012 STWP update. If you have any questions, please contact Vicki D. Coleman at 404-730-8025. Public meetings will be held at the following times and locations:
